I am a PhD student in LSE's department and media and communications, researching the ways in which anglophone news media constructs techno-orientalist imaginaries of Chinese technology. My research interests include intertextuality, semiotics, and narrative theory. I obtained my master's degrees in global communications at Canada's Simon Fraser University and the Communication University of China. Prior to joining the LSE, I worked as a journalist in Beijing.
